An Exploration of Silent Film, Using iMovie and GarageBand"
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the techniques used to create a silent film in iMovie. Participants will learn the importance of storyboarding and planning ahead to create an effective silent film. Different ways to show mood and suspense will be demonstrated. Participants will view student-created silent films based on an Edgar Allan Poe story. Participants will also experiment with Garageband and will see what a useful tool it is for creating a music soundtrack and the many other ways it can be used in a classroom.
