The Pittsfield Public Schools offers a New Teacher Induction Program which provides a trained mentor for all new teachers. Our professional development program for teachers affords every professional staff member the opportunity to earn 40 PDP's each school year during the contractual school day. A $5,000/year stipend is available to Pittsfield teachers who hold a National Board of Professional Teacher Standards ( NBPTS) Certification.
